Why Do I Love Kids?
Why do I love kids? That's simple for me to answer. I love children, because they are so honest, and full of innocence. They also have huge imaginations, which being a writer, I love.
You know the old saying, "Kids say the darndest things?" Well, I have learned in the past twenty-seven years of babysitting, that this statement is so very true!
In this blog, I would like to go back in time and share some of my most happiest memories of the little ones I cared for. Names will be changed, of course, as most of these kids are now adults, and would probably be embarrassed if they read what they did and said as children!
I babysat many children as a teenager and young adult, and am now currently looking after a five year old girl. I'm not as young and energetic as I once was, but I have found that I still love to play with kids. It gives me a chance to show a child the love that I have for them, and I get to play "pretend you're their mother." Lol. I treated every child the same as I would if I were their mother. My Mom showed me the kind of love that I want every child to feel, and I believe that it is my calling and my duty, to show children that they have another woman that they can go to and trust.
I know how hard it is for parents of young children, these days, and I want to help them out a bit. This is why I babysit.
Stay tuned for the cute, funny, and sometimes sad stories from my babysitting memories.
